Vacation Bible School

Late Sunday night a team from one of the DOVE churches in PA, The Fireplace, arrived. They will be here for a total of 10 days, and Tuesday-Friday of this week we did a VBS for kids in the neighborhood here. It was a huge success. We had an average of about 50 kids each day, from the ages of 5-12. They each received a "passport" and each day they travelled to a different country. Victor made an awesome airplane that the kids got to travel in to get to their destination each day. The 4 countries were: Kenya, Peru, Bulgaria & USA. There were 4 different stations set up that the kids rotated through, and I was in the craft area. Today was the last day, and a total of 30 kids gave their hearts to the Lord today!! It was a lot of work, but also very rewarding. Here are a bunch of pictures from the VBS. If you want to see any of them a little bigger and better, all you have to do is click on them.

This is in the craft area. On Tuesday the country was Kenya, and we made rain-sticks. Here they are filling the paper-towel rolls with rice and beans.

Kids decorating their rain-sticks.

On Wednesday the country was Peru and we made a "God's Eye".

Thursday was Bulgaria, and we made plastic spoon puppets.

Today was the USA, and we made hemp gospel bracelets.

This is back in the airplane at the end, flying back to Brazil. Chad is leading a few children's songs.

It's been a long morning.
